John C. Sibrava provides business and legal counsel and representation to commercial and business interests of many types. He brings to his clients the experience and practical know how that he has developed during more than three decades of service to clients in commercial, business and financial transactions and litigation. John has negotiated and transacted matters such as business acquisitions and sales, secured lending and credit transactions, real estate purchases and sales, leases, employment, management and independent contractor agreements, and structured shareholder/member/partner risk management, buy-out and succession arrangements. His services to individuals also entails estate planning suited to their business, financial and personal concerns, interests and needs.

John’s litigation practice mirrors his transactional practice. He began his litigation career and continues today representing national and local vendors and contractors in mechanics lien and mortgage foreclosure suits. His litigation experience has included disputes over commercial transactions, ownership and management issues, corporate fiduciary responsibilities, employment, non-compete and confidentiality covenants, and trust administration, in addition to construction and real estate disputes, such as the mechanics lien litigation mentioned above.

Given John Sibrava’s background and the focus of the practice at Hardt, Stern & Kayne, P.C. upon the automobile dealership industry, it is not surprising that John has also handled numerous automobile dealership “protests” before the Illinois Motor Vehicle Review Board. These highly specialized administrative proceedings are heard in connection with the installation of new dealerships, relocations, terminations and bad faith dealings between automobile dealerships and their distributors or manufacturers.
